I should call this dish as my most favourite because I love pasta in any form and tomato in form. An ideal combination of my favourite ingredients resulted in “TOMATO PASTA” . I opted for this recipe very randomly as I was bored and tired. To my utmost surprise it came out to be the best. YUMMY,TANGY,SPICY….
This quantity will serve 1 serving.
- Pasta-1 cup
- Chilly Flakes-2 tsp
- Oregano-1/2 tsp
- Tomato-2(medium sized
- Onion-1(finely chopped)
- Garlic-8(Finely chopped)
- Cheese-Grated(To garnish)
- Salt-To taste
- Olive oil-To cook
1.Boil water in vessel and add pasta to it.
2.Cook pasta until it turns firm and not mushy.
3.Blanch the tomatoes and grind it in a blender to make tomato puree.
4.In a kadai,add oil and finely saute garlic and onion.
5.When they turn golden brown add the tomato puree,oregano,chilly flakes and stir.
6.Keep the stove in medium flame and keep stirring the tomato paste.
7.Add salt and stop cooking when it thickens.
8.Add the cooked pasta and toss it well
9.Add grated cheese and serve it hot.
Cooking pasta is the most important step here.
Adding cheese is optional.
If you have basil and other herbs you can add them.
Add 1 tsp of tomato ketchup if you wish while stirring the tomato puree.
